MMA means Mixed Martial Arts but it does not say what Arts are mixed. All martial arts have practical applications, you just need to be able to use the right one at the right time. Two guys fighting in MMA who wins? Not the style but the person using it.

I always wanted to go train with him in the early 00s but I had messed up my back and it's taken years to get better and I always said when I got better, I would go train under him because I heard good things on the streets where it matters instead of everyone doing the same thing in the gyms across the U.S. much less the world. I conversated with him many times over a long period of times on the phone. I never met him in person because when I walked in, I think he was teaching or maybe I might've and I don't remember which is a shame but one of our talks was he told me about the Tong fight he had with Dux from Blood Sport and how he got a black belt by Gene Lebell which Gene didn't give out a lot.
